Club History

After the Second World War Appleby Frodingham Football Club was one of the founder members of the Lincolnshire League. In the mid 70's they played in the old Midland League before moving on into the Northern Counties East League. In 1986 the year of the steel strike, the then management and team moved to Winterton Rangers. Frod reformed and within 3 years in local football they returned to play in the Lincolnshire League in 1990. In 2003 Frod joined the Central Midlands League, where in their first season they finished fourth in the Premier Division and gained promotion for to the Supreme Division.

Brumby Hall Sports Ground is the home of Appleby Frodingham FC. The 36 acre sports complex is owned by Corus Steelworks and run by the football clubs governing body Appleby Frodingham Works Athletic Club. The clubs main pitch has floodlights and a covered stand plus 3 other full size pitches.
