Club History

Greenwood Meadows FC were formed in 1987 following the amalgamation of Greenwood FC and Meadows Albion FC.

Greenwood FC were founded in 1956 and began life in the Notts Amateur League. They then progressed in to the Notts Alliance League where in 1985/86 they finished rinners up in the League and semi finalists in the Cup.

Meadows Albion FC were in the MA Spartan League and won several honours including the Senior League in 1984. The following season they won the League Cup and finished runners up in the Senior League.

In the 1999/2000 season Greenwood Meadows FC left the Notts Alliance League to join the Central Midlands Football League. They finished runners up in the Premier Division in 2000/01 winning promotion to the Supreme Division, where in their first season they finished a excellent 6th.
