Club History

Started in 1930 playing on a farmers field in Edwinstowe, moving to our present ground on Fourth Avenue Edwinstowe. The Ground being created by the Bolsover Coal Company the owners of our local colliery Thoresby.

Over the years several of Thoresby's players have moved in to the professional game. one such player left to join Queens park rangers and we received a Blue & White Strip, our team colours to this day.

Various success came in 1952/53 when we won the Notts Junior Cup playing only local lads and being drawn away in every round.

In the late 70's winning the Notts Alliance Senior League Cup and in 1980/81 saw us finish runners up to Rainworth Miners Welfare in the Senior League by only one point. Also that season we played Rainworth MW in the senior Cup Final at Clipstone losing to a penalty 1-0.

After that season six members of our squad left to join Rainworth who later wentonto Wembley in the FA Vase Final.
